Dear friends in these tough times and web-based world. Our plans and desires are leaned towards the virtual world and so are we doing. My desires and dreams are as follows:
Kick start our own website for Gujarat NNF and restart our Newsletter online on our website.
Formulate following Committees which will include experts from the state and at least one EB member who will lead the committee along with the others.
Newsletter Committee: Editor and team will publish Gujarat NNF newsletter every Quarterly online at our website. Will encourage Neonatologist from state to submit write up to update our academic knowledge with their experience. This will encourage some research activity in NICU in Gujarat state.
Website/ App Committee: This committee will help creating our own website and hence make everything available to our Desktops and Mobiles.
Membership Drive Committee: In these difficult times this is the toughest job but still need to expand our family and will try with the best person available for the job.
PG / Neonatal Fellow Academics Committee: Neonatal Pathshala This is very important to enhance and encourage our young budding colleagues and impart knowledge to them. We are planning to conduct online academic sessions done by leading academicians of the state and country. All medical colleges and DNB pediatric centers will be linked online for combine teaching twice a week. All Neonatal fellowship training centers in the state will also be linked together for combine teaching once a week.
Clinical Practice Resources & Guidelines Committee:It is very important for any new comer to have some support when he or she is starting new NICU setup. For clinical practice some hands-on material is needed. This committee aims and provide all pediatrician the ready-made material and support.
Constitution Committee: We have written constitution for Gujarat NNF that was in 2000. As the new constitution is formulated by central NNF and so we will update our constitution for the present times.
No training is complete without the backbone of NICU, that is nurses. Will plan and formulate training module and hand on workshops for SNCU nurses with the involvement of UNICEF.
During the present times, it’s difficult to conduct in person workshops, NRP or CME.
Plan to conduct online CME at various important occasions.

Emergency newborn care module for nursing staff
Kangaroo mother care certificate course along with Kangaroo Mother Care Foundation

Functional ECHO and NUS workshops
Preterm care
Finally,our big one that is Gujneocon 2022. We wish to host the West Zone Neocon too.
